Do you have Entry/Exit gates or barriers?
None of our seven (7) entry/exit points have barriers.
You must pay at one of our five (5) Onsite Pay Stations or our online Virtual Pay Station once you have found a carpark.
What are your parking prices?

We are only a short 15min walk to the Queenstown Airport from our location in Frankton
Hawthorne Drive & Red Oaks Drive Car parks are the home of Airport Parking Queenstown
I have luggage, do I drop it at the terminal first?
If time permits, you can park at the Queenstown Airport carpark for free for the first 10 to 20 minutes. That way you can check in and drop off your luggage, and any passengers, prior to parking with us. Then maybe it’s time for a game of paper, scissors, rock to see who gets to park the car in the Hawthorne Drive Carpark and enjoy the 15-minute walk back to the Queenstown Airport.
If you weren’t already aware we have NOTHING to do with the Queenstown Airport.
We are a direct competitor for short & long term car parking.
Do I need to check in at your premises?
Yes – but you do this at one of our five (5) Onsite Pay Stations or our online Virtual Pay Station once you have found a carpark. There is no onsite office or staff!
So once you have self-parked in the Hawthorne Drive or Red Oaks Drive Carpark you MUST PAY via registering your vehicle registration at the Pay Station and PAY.
Can I park here even though I’m not using the Queenstown Airport?
Yes, short or long-term parking is permitted regardless of whether you are parking to fly or going shopping or staying at one of the hotels in the area or need to store your Campervan while you walk one of the tracks in the region.
The Hawthorne Drive Carpark is a Public car park offering hourly and daily rates.
Are there any areas I can’t park in?
Yes, you must park in one of the available 600 formed carparks within either the Hawthorne Drive Carpark or Red Oaks Drive Carpark as indicated on our Location Map.
Each of our seven (7) entry points to our parking locations are identified by a large blue parking sign!
Do you have a shuttle service?
NO – Why?
- We are only a 1.2km flat walk from the Hawthorne Drive Carpark to the Queenstown Airport, call it a healthy option.
- We want to keep our prices as competitive as possible; a shuttle would add more cost to us, which in turn would increase our daily parking rates.

Can I leave my car keys at your office?
NO – We don’t provide a storage or collection facility for keys.
If you are needing to leave a key for your vehicle, then we suggest you use a key lock box that can be attached to your vehicle.
Are there covered car parks available?
NO – We don’t provide any undercover car parks.
Both the Hawthorne Drive & Red Oaks Drive carparks the home of Airport Parking Queenstown are open-air car parks.
Are you associated to the Queenstown Airport?
NO we have NOTHING to do with the Queenstown Airport

Do I get a ticket on arrival?
NO – our parking system is paperless and has no entry or exit gates (or Arms). It’s based on the registration you enter and pay for at one of our Pay Stations after you park your vehicle.

What are your hours of operation?
You can access our car parks and your car 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Our office is only open for general enquiries Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
The enforcement company “Parking Enforcement Services” is available 8.30am to 5pm.
