How do I pay for my parking?

Find a car park and then go to a Pay Station to pay. You don’t pay when you get back from your trip away, or your meeting or your haircut or your overnight stay in a hotel.

We have five (5) Onsite Pay Stations or our online Virtual Pay Station

How much does it cost to park at Airport Parking Queenstown?

Our parking prices are the most affordable in Queenstown. View our Prices here

We are more affordable then the Queenstown Airport and are direct competitor to them

We are only a short 15min walk to the Queenstown Airport from our location in Frankton

What Payment methods do you accept?

Our Pay Stations ONLY accept Master and Visa cards (Credit and Debit cards)

You can use Tap & Go or you can insert your card.

Do your Pay Stations issue tickets/receipts?

Our Pay Stations are all PAPER FREE so no printed ticket or receipt will be issued.

However, you can get a GST receipt by following the prompts on the Pay Station during your transaction.

Where are the onsite Pay Stations located?

They are located near the entry and exit points of the car parks.

They all have a large RED sign above them that reads PAY HERE.

What will I be charged for parking?

To use the Hawthorne Drive or Red Oaks Drive carpark you must pay for the period (parking time) you select on one of our five (5) Onsite Pay Stations or our online Virtual Pay Station once you have found a car park. YOU DON’T PAY on returning to your vehicle, as you will receive a fine. View Prices here.

Our days (24-hour period) start from the time you pay.
i.e. Paying at 11.32am means you are valid to park until 11.32am on your selected day of return.

Where do I pay for my parking time?

You must pay at one of our five (5) Onsite Pay Stations or our online Virtual Pay Station

You must pay once you have parked, not when you come back to your vehicle.

We DON’T take bookings, you are purchasing parking time.

How long can I park my vehicle in your parking facility?

The maximum parking period available to you via all of our Pay Stations is 42 days.

If you need to park longer than that, we can accommodate your parking period of up to twelve (12) months.

Should I read the tariff board next to the onsite Pay Stations?

That’s a GREAT IDEA!

  • They provide you with information that will help you manage your own parking
  • They confirm our sliding scale daily rates
  • They offer contact details if you need to speak to someone
  • Best of all they give you instructions on how to pay online as
    • some mornings the Pay Station screens get iced up
    • sometimes the glare from the sun makes it hard to read the Pay Station screens

And an even better idea take a photo of the Tariff board so you have all the information you need in one spot!

What period/time frame are your Parking prices based on?

Each day is based on a 24-hour period

That 24-hour period starts from the time you pay

Paying at 9.05am means you are valid to park till 9.05am on your selected day of return.

Important to Note: If you aren’t arriving back to your vehicle till after 9.05am i.e. your flight doesn’t land in Queenstown until 2.15pm (for this example) your vehicle will be considered invalid to park for about 5 hours.

Our Pay Stations don’t allow hourly rates to be purchased from 9.05am to 2.15pm (for this example) To avoid a potential breach notice (a fine of $85) you will need to purchase an extra day to ensure your vehicle is valid to park.

Do I receive a ticket to display on my car from the pay station?

You won’t receive a paper ticket as our Pay Stations are all PAPER FREE

Therefore no printed ticket will be issued.

However, you can get a GST receipt by following the prompts on the Pay Station during your transaction.

How do I get a receipt of purchase for my parking time?

You can get one if you follow the prompts when using our Pay Stations

Hint: Have your camera ready to take a screenshot at the end of your transaction to ensure you have your 4-digit receipt code capture.

Receipts are available on my-receipt.com – enter that 4-digit code and plate number you just purchased parking time for. You can set up an email to receive your electronic receipt and top-up reminders.

Even better, if you are a regular user of our parking facility and use the same plate number (vehicle to park each time) you only need to do the set up once then each time you park the receipt will automatically get sent to your email.

Can I book and pay online for my parking in advance?

No, we don’t take bookings. You pay once you are parked in our car park.

We provide you with tools to manage your own parking.

You can use our Online Virtual Pay Station after you park your vehicle.

Am I making a booking when I pay at the Pay Stations?

NO, we don’t take bookings, you are purchasing parking time at our parking facility.

  • Hourly or for a number of days

Our days (24-hour period) start from the time you pay, i.e. Paying at 11.32am means you are valid to park until 11.32am on your selected day of return.

Do you offer six (6) or twelve (12) month rates?

Yes, we can administer this for you.

Payment is taken over the phone via a secure payment website.

Each day after day 42 up to day 60 is charged at $6 per day.

Monthly rates are available from day 61 until the 6-month rate kicks in.

Can I book a car space?

NO, we don’t take bookings, you simply purchase parking time.

NO we have NOTHING to do with the Queenstown Airport

We are a separate organisation for short and long term car parking.
